Grace and Glory Bio
Continuing the legacy of
traditional "family" southern gospel music, Grace and Glory is
comprised mostly of family and long-time family friends who
have sung and attended church together most of their lives.
Richard Calhoun
- The eldest of the Calhoun family, sings lead and harmony,
and shares the "Drumming" duties with Jason. He
also writes many of the songs the group sings and records.
Danny Calhoun -
The second to the oldest of the Calhouns and Richards
brother. Plays the guitars (Steel, Lead, Bass as needed),
and helps with the groups song arrangements. Also as one of
2 preachers in the group, he was a natural as the groups
spokesman.
Annette Calhoun
- Our keyboard player and Danny's wife. Helps with song
arrangements and generally keeps us straight (musically).
Marissa Calhoun
- Sings, Sings, Sings - and smiles a lot. When she's not
singing she shops and smiles a lot. She is currently
attending college and sings in the college choir. She is the
oldest daughter of Richard and the pretty one in the group.
Brandon Calhoun
- Plays rhythm guitar and helps with the equipment. Thank
goodness for youth and strong backs when its time to setup!
Brandon is Danny's oldest son.
Jason Garner -
Sings lead and harmony. Plays drums (when Richard is not), banjo, and bass guitar. Jason is the second
of 2 preachers in the group and has a word or 2 to say if you'll give him
a chance. He is an extremely talented
young man and his anointed singing and testimony blesses
audiences everywhere we go.
W.E. "Dub"
Garner - Plays guitar and is Jason's father. A
spiritual inspiration to the group as well as a long-time
family friend.
Kenny Martin -
Plays bass guitar and grins a lot. When we are not singing,
you can usually find him hunting or fishing somewhere
(anywhere). A long-time family friend of the group and a
blessing to those he comes in contact with.
Greg Young -
Sound Man and road manager "extraordinaire". Keeps the group in check and on
their toes. Always a GOTO guy when ever the need arises and
a real blessing to travel with.
